Jakarta, May 9, 2020 . Saturday (9/05) Rexco Lubricants donated 1000 food packages to communities affected by Covid-19 around the Penjaringan sub-district, North Jakarta. This food distribution program is the result of donations from consumers through the Buy Rexco Can Charity program which started last April.

Buy Rexco Can Donate This is a social program where every consumer who buys Rexco will automatically donate Rp. 2000 per can. The results of the collection of donations were converted into basic necessities which were distributed to communities affected by Covid-19. In the distribution of 1000 food packages, Rexco also cooperates with the Penjaringan Metro Police, who is used to and routinely doing social services to the community. “Our goal in holding this program is to help government programs in mitigating the impact of Covid-19, especially for people who have lost their jobs and have no income,” said Stephanus Santoso, Vice President Director of Rexco Indonesia.

According to the Head of Polsek Metro Penjaringan, AKBP Ach Imam Rifai, Rexco Indonesia’s concern is very good and hopefully other companies in Jakarta can follow suit. On this occasion, Imam Rifai also appealed to the public to comply with the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which are currently being implemented. Let’s follow the government’s advice in accelerating the prevention of the spread of Covid-19. Reduce going out of the house if there is no urgent need, if you have to leave the house, wear a mask, added Imam.
